About Me

Welcome to my blog!

There are so many great things going on in my lab and in our school, that I thought this would be a great way to share the 1:1 adventures with others.

I started teaching 4th grade 7 years ago. When entering that grade level, I was introducing a 1:1 pilot of MacBooks. When I made the transition from 4th to 5th grade in 2013, I gave myself and my students the challenge of teaching with iPads. I know, some call me crazy for switching from laptops, but I believe this challenge really made myself a better teacher.

In the fall of 2014, I said goodbye to those that I miss dearly in my previous district and began a new journey as a Technology Teacher in a district closer to home, who happened to be embarking on their own 1:1 adventure at the time. My students now fully implement a 1:1 environment with iPads, which the goal of making this tool seamless in the district.

When I'm not teaching, I am a busy wife and mother. I have a very sassy 5 year old princess and an 11 month old, who both keep me on my toes every moment. We have also recently rescued a dog, who we ironically named Mac.
